A huge Acoustic Underground shout-out of gratitude for an electric and socially distanced good time with some rock n’ roll, thanks to a private show at Moonage Food Co with Jesse 'Boots Electric' from Eagles of Death Metal and The Battery Electric. On July 21, 2020 this quartet, that features the musicians Brent Övar Bergholm, Ronnie Santee, and Tony Saxon, along with Jesse are known as Boots & The Daydreams played for an intimate crowd.
Jesse is a high school friend of mine from Palm Desert, CA, and came through San Diego for the love of live music and art for some charity goodness.
He was nice enough to even come along with the guys from New Jersey, and this rad new band brought some Eagles Of Death Metal songs and even a Wham hit to an intimate, invite-only crowd at Moonage Food Co in Leucadia.
Moonage, named after the David Bowie song ‘Moonage Daydream,’ {a tune that was covered on the Album: EODM Presents Boots Electric Performing The Best Songs We Never Wrote}, this San Diego food truck lot is a North County tasty hotspot. There are classic rock & roll vinyls on deck, plus live music and a DJ 3 days a week right now, while you eat treats, like 'Dumplings of Death Metal,' and the 'Sid Fishous' taco by chef and owner, Tyler Mars.
To help with the vision for the music, charity and art for the Acoustic Underground concept, Boots Electric was great and autographed some cool Moonage skateboard decks, locally designed by artists in Encinitas, that will be used to raise money for Tony’s Hawk’s Skatepark Project!
