As one more gallant effort to benefit the incredibly inspiring all-women ranger unit Akashinga 'Brave Ones', fighting poachers to save wildlife and land in Zimbabwe, Africa, we extended the, "International Anti-Poaching Foundation 'Akashinga, Brave Ones' Virtual Music Benefit" eBay auction.
It is our mission to give love and admiration to these awe-inspiring ladies, as well as provide money that assists coverage of costs for the IAPF. These brave ones give their greatest efforts to save animals and the beautiful landscape where they may freely roam.
The bravery is showcased in the James Cameron short film by National Geographic, 'Akashinga, The Brave Ones' and these rangers are trained by anti-poaching activist and vegan, Damien Mander, the Founder of the International Anti-Poaching Foundation {IAPF}. Damien is the 'Modern Warrior' and winner of the 2019 Winsome Constance Kindness Gold Medal, a prestigious international recognition for services to animals and humanity. Over the last 11 years, they have 'supported or led 50+ conservation initiatives and helped protect over 9.8 million acres of wilderness saving countless wildlife.'
Along with Hester van Hooven Ward from Live Forward and Free we orchestrated and produced the 'Akashinga: The Brave Ones Virtual Music Fundraiser' that was live-streamed on Facebook and Twitch last month. On Monday, January 11, 2021 we had the 'House DJ' night with upbeat music sets exclusively recorded for this virtual music fundraiser around the globe. The evening was hosted by the KCRW DJ extraordinaire Jeremy Sole, with an intro from the incredible DJ Henry Pope founder of the Genuis Loci Fest. Jeremy's electric set featured liquid art from the amazing Stranger Liquids. We had talented beats on decks from DJs CocoEm, Mal Eny, Michii, guitar-playing DJ Ofier, and a duo set from Diva Danielle & BounceHouse.
